TRADEMARK MONITORING

Following the amendment to Act No. 441/2003 Coll., on Trademarks, the Industrial Property Office no longer raises objections *ex officio* regarding identical trademarks for the same goods and services. Consequently, our firm offers an effective trademark monitoring service that identifies not only identical trademarks but also similar ones—covering the registers of the Czech Republic, EUIPO, and WIPO, as well as global databases. The firm provides comprehensive services covering all client needs regarding inventions, utility models, and industrial designs, both domestically and globally.

TRADEMARKS

We are capable of handling all of a client’s trademark matters, both domestically and internationally, and possess extensive experience in managing large trademark portfolios. We file national and international applications in accordance with the forms prescribed by the Madrid Agreement and Protocol, and also file Community Trademark (CTM) applications with OHIM in Alicante.

RESEARCH

Trademark searches are essential for minimizing potential conflicts when selecting a product name. We have a dedicated department for conducting these searches in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, and we carry out approximately 200 searches per month.

PRODUCT PIRACY

To assist our clients, we utilize the mechanisms and instruments of European Union law, as well as national criminal, civil, commercial, and administrative law. We handle matters involving branded clothing, footwear, and sports equipment; pharmaceuticals; household appliances and electronics; food and beverages; construction materials and home furnishings; chemical-technological components; and a wide range of other commodities across all sectors of trade, including services.
